Happy Father's Day...

Well, My dad is off on his perpetual spring break and I'm sure he's having a ball scuba diving and loafing around on the beach while I'm here spending the rest of my school days doing report cards and packing up my classroom...

Since he's gone on Father's Day and I already gave him his Flag Pole and American flag, I decided to make him a virtual present, hope they last in the freezer until he comes back home...
Did a little painting with my americolor inks and a little blueberry flavored rum.

Welcome Home!

Made these cookies for a fellow teacher who welcomed her hubby home from Afghanistan/Germany yesterday.  It was an honor to make them for her and I hope they enjoy them!

Happy Sweet Sixteen!

My niece had her sixteenth birthday party recently and she had a good time at the lake house with her friends.  This set was requested by my sister so that it would go with the beachy theme.  It was the first time working with these cutters and decorating beachy cookies.  I was happy with the way they turned out.  The kids enjoyed them too...especially the shells, starfish and little fish.

It was also a first for using Sugarbelle's basic sugar cookie recipe.  I've never used powdered sugar in a cookie recipe before, but the cookies turned out melt-in-your-mouth yummy!!!  I'll definitely use the recipe again!!!

Easter goodies...

Decided to make some tiny bites for Easter gifts this year.  The tiny easter set was the perfect set to use as a beginner cookier.  I sooo enjoyed putting the smiles on the bunny faces!
And here's the cookies all lined up and ready to dry...

Putting them in the jars was the next step...I got some light blue shredded paper to make the cookies have a little cushion.
Oh so yummy...Butter cookies with a bit of yummy frosting... :)
